Former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer who left office over a sex scandal may strike a book deal after an initial offer sold for $350,000 on the auction block.
The book was proposed by Peter Elkind, a writer for Fortune and co-author of a book about Enron. Spitzer's agent, Liz Darhansoff declined to confirm the bid price.
According to Sara Nelson, editor of Publishers Weekly which ran a story on the book, quoted by the Daily News, "It seems a lot of money to me, but the book will get a lot of ink, if not sales."
But she added, "The question is that, by the time it comes out, will people have read everything they need to know in the tabloids and other papers?"
Meanwhile, a second call girl was the one who provided federal investigators with more details about Spitzer's sexual adventures with Ashley Alexandra Dupre, the New York Post reported.
One thing for sure, if Eliot doesn't jump on it, Ashley will... hold on, can Ashley spell?
